Alberta S. Lockwood
Mrs. Alberta S. Lockwood, Kingsley, former Waymart resident, died Thursday in St. Joseph's hosiptal, Carbondale, following an illness. Her husband, Kenneth H. Lockwood, died in 1974.
Born in South Canaan Twp., the daughter of the late Lewis and Effie Reed Shaffer, she lived in Waymart until 1974, when she moved to Kingsley. She was a member of the south Gibson United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Irwin Lockwood, South Canaan; and Kieff R. Lockwood, Kingsley; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother L. Reed Shaffer, Waymart; a sister, Mrs. Mable Bortree, Lake Ariel; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday at 2p.m. from the James H. Willson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel, with the Rev. John Shay, South Gibson United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment, Cannan Corner's Cemetery.
