Garland R. Enslin
Garland R. Enslin, 72 Lake Ariel RD 2, was pronounced dead at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Friday, Aug. 4 1972, where he was taken after being stricken in Honesdale while shopping.
Born in Lake township, son of the late Edgar and Vilette Bell Enslin, he was a long-life resident of Lake Ariel and was a retired farmer. His wife, the former Fern Shaffer, died in 1967.
Surviving are his widow, the former Pearl Hafler; two sons, Rev. Robert C Enslin, Linwood, N. J., and Ivan M., Lake Ariel; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Cook, Jr., Wyandanch, Long Island, N.Y. and Mrs. Donald G. Shaffer, Newark, Del a stepdaughter, Mrs. Beatrice Skinner seelyville; 19 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Enslin Lake Ariel; a sister, Mrs. Vernice Maine Allentown, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Monday at 1:30 p.m. from the James H. Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel. His son, the Rev. Enslin Friendship Bible Protestant Church, Linwood. officiated. Interment, East Canaan Cemetery.
